Our goal here at realestate.co.nz is to get you to your perfect property quicker. We’ve been working hard on our new site and here are the changes:
- Mobile first technology which ensures a mobile friendly experience across both phones and tablets
- You can now search using natural language (just like your favourite search engine) and keywords in the search bar. Here are a couple for you to try out -
- '3 bedroom home for sale in Mt Albert under $900k'
- 'Apartment for sale in Wellington city from 1mil'
- 'Lifestyle block under $1,500,000 near Wellsford'
- 'Under 500k with sea views'
- The 'More options' link at the bottom of the search bar enables you to further refine your search, search using tick boxes or search across categories (i.e. both residential and commercial properties within the same search)
- Additional search criteria for renters - 'pet friendly' and 'furnished' homes
- New lifestyle category bringing both residential and rural lifestyle listings together in one place
- Property profile pages that showcase an image of the property, council valuation, sales history, an estimated market expectation and census information
- Profile pages exist for both listed properties and those which are not on the market - find it all at realestate.co.nz/profile
- A new ’My property’ section which can be customised based on your preferences
- All domains are under one URL - realestate.co.nz - so you don’t have to visit a different URL if you are looking across categories
This exciting change means that realestate.co.nz will truly be the one location of all property in New Zealand.
Let us show you around…
Our new header
The realestate.co.nz logo in the left-hand corner will take you back to the home page no matter where you are on the site.
From left to right you will see our key property categories; Residential, Commercial, Rural and Business. We now have a new section for those of you who are after a bit of land – our Lifestyle category. This can be found under both the Residential and Rural tabs. You can also navigate to each category from the dropdown menu at the left of the search bar.
If you’re looking for more information on a property, click the ‘Property profile’ link to see council valuation, sales history, an estimated market expectation and census information where it’s available.
If you’re hunting for a real estate agency office, use the ‘Offices’ tab to search for one in your area.
Looking for a local real estate agent? You can find one using the ‘Agents’ tab.
Our ‘Blog’ is where you’ll find the latest property news, great home inspiration if you have found your perfect property and handy tips and guides if you’re still searching for your dream home.
Found your perfect property and now need to move? Our ‘Move’ team will help coordinate the shift of all your service providers in one easy phone call.
Signing up to ‘My property’ gives you the ability to save properties, receive email alerts when new properties matching your search criteria come on to the market and view property statistics.
A new way to search
Forget ticking boxes, our new search functionality means you can simply type what it is you’re looking for and we’ll find it. For example, you might be after a ‘3-bedroom house for sale in Christchurch’, or a ‘home under $500,000 in the Bay of Plenty’.
Our smarter search will find the best match, making it easier and faster for potential buyers, renters and investors to find what they’re looking for.
Prefer the way you used to search? Click the ‘More options’ link at the bottom of the search box to reveal the previous search functions. If you have started searching using the letterbox search, you may find some of the boxes already filled out for you.
A cool new feature is when you search on realestate.co.nz, we now show you everything that’s for sale, rent or lease that fits your criteria (you can find this in the 'More options' section). This is handy when, for example, you have just settled on your house and you are now looking for properties to both buy or rent. Or, as an investor you may have a specific sum of money in mind, and would like to consider both residential and commercial investment options. You will no longer have to make multiple searches across multiple sites, you can find this all in one search.
