Did you get golf clubs for Christmas?

Blessed with miles of golden coastline, summer in Aotearoa is synonymous with days spent at the beach swimming and surfing. Some of us, however, would prefer to spend the summer christening the new driver or wedge that Santa delivered.

Luckily, there is no shortage of places to play a round of 18 in New Zealand. So, for those whose New Year’s resolutions involve more time on the green, here are five of our favourite places to play a round of 18, as well as properties located just around the corner.

The Dunes, Matarangi

the-dunes-golf-resort

Designed by golfing legend Sir Bob Charles, The Dunes has been described as a true golfing experience. This 18-hole course is set with harbour views visible from most of the course, as well as the Coromandel Range and Castle Rock. A par 73 course, it balances idyllic views with a true challenge for even the most experienced golfers.
