Viewing a home in covid lockdown

Written by realestate.co.nz | Apr 22, 2020 12:00:00 PM

Due to these unprecedented times, there are some restrictions on viewing a property while we're in lockdown. Here is what you can and can't do at each alert level, as well as tips on how to book a property viewing (either in person or virtual).

Lockdown level restrictions

Level 4: In Level 4 lockdown buyers are unable to view properties in person. Instead, look to utilise 3D walkthroughs, virtual tours and videos on listings where provided by agents.

Level 3: When we move to Alert Level 3, property seekers will be allowed to view properties through a private viewing, either in person or virtually via online video calling services. No open homes will be allowed, so please get in touch with the real estate agent listed on the property to book your viewing today.

Book a private viewing

In Level 3 some properties will be available to be viewed in person, so we've made it easy for you to contact the real estate agent on the listing to ask about private viewings.

Simply head to the property you are interested in viewing and scroll to the enquiry form at the bottom of the page. Fill in your details, tick the 'Request a private viewing' tick box and the real estate agent will contact you directly, to organise a private viewing.

We'll continue to update this page with more information as it becomes available.
